ProRep Beardie Life (Mixed Desert)
ProRep Beardie Life is part of the species specific “life” series of substrates and has been designed to meet the needs of Bearded Dragons and other desert species. In the wild there are few species that actually live on pure sand and so Beardie Life has been designed to mimic the sandy soil more typical of desert habitats. Beardie Life contains a mixture of sand and soil to create a realistic looking and feeling substrate which encourages natural behaviour, such as digging and foraging, and which aids the maintenance of a suitable environment. The addition of soil to the mixture reduces the risk of impaction sometimes seen with pure sand, while enhancing the moisture retention ability of the substrate.

ProRep Tortoise Life Bio (Mediterranean)
ProRep Tortoise Life is part of the species-specific “Life” series of substrates and has been created to meet the needs of Tortoises originating from dry habitats, particularly Mediterranean and Russian Tortoises. It is a blend of professional quality loam, soft fine sand and coconut husk that provides the ideal mix of texture and moisture retention, simulating the soils found in their natural habitats. The addition of coconut husk allows for a lighter substrate without the mineral content, increasing the organic material in the mix provides peace of mind if accidently ingested. It is also suitable for many species of lizards that originate from similar habitats. Directions: Spread the substrate evenly over the bottom of the enclosure to a depth of at least 2″ (5cm) for young animals and 6″ (15cm) or more for mature animals. Russian tortoises particularly may need a deeper substrate as they burrow extensively. Spot-clean daily to remove soiled substrate and replace completely every 2 or 3 weeks. Areas of the substrate can be sprayed to keep it slightly damp and so provide local humidity, but avoid making the substrate too wet

ProRep Tortoise Life (Mediterranean)
10 Litre ProRep Tortoise Life is part of the species-specific life series of substrates and has been created to meet the needs of tortoises originating from arid habitats, particularly Mediterranean and Russian tortoises. It is a blend of ingredients that provides the ideal mix of texture and moisture retention to simulate the soils found in their natural habitats. The addition of pure limestone to the mix provides additional calcium if the substrate is eaten. It is also suitable for many species of lizards that originate from arid habitats. Directions: Spread the substrate evenly over the bottom of the enclosure to a depth of at least 2” (5cm) for young animals and up to 6” (15cm) or more for mature animals.
