Dairy Cow Woodlice (Porcellio laevis) are one of the larger species of isopod commonly used as terrarium custodians or ‘clean-up crew’ and live and breed well in bio-active set-ups. As adults, they may attain a length of up to 18mm long. Dairy Cow Woodlice are also useful as a livefood for many reptiles and amphibians and have the advantage of a high calcium content due to their calcarious exo-skeleton. If they are to be used as food, they are best served up in a smooth-sided dish in much the same way as mealworms or calci-worms. To thrive and become established in the terrarium, they need to be in a constantly damp and humid microclimate which normally means that they hide away for much of the time under branches, rocks or within the substrate. Dubia Roaches are a large sized species of cockroach, they are easy to handle, very nutritious and easy to digest. A great alternative to crickets as they do not jump and they are 100% silent! Care Instructions: As with all live food, it is essential they are kept healthy. Packed in bran, ensure the cockroaches are kept at a regular temperature of approximately 70 - 75F (21 - 24C) and away from bright light.To encourage the maximum shelf-life, empty into a smooth-sided container with a vented lid. Add a slice of apple or potato to provide moisture. Remeber feeding your dubia roaches prior to feeding your pets makes them much healther and more nutritious.  Proper supplementation should be given prior to feeding to your reptile.

Drosophilia melanogaster will reach a max size of 2.5mm and are an ideal prey item for small amphibians such as Ranitomeya and Mantellas, small invertebrates and other small reptiles. A complete culture of flightless fruitflies in a pre-packed tub containing culture medium, eggs, larvae and pupa. The culture will continue to produce new flies for several weeks and should be kept at normal room temperature. Warmer temperatures will speed up development but may shorten the lifespan of the culture. They might have adult flies in the culture but often they don’t, new flies will emerge given time.
