The Arcadia Reptile D3 Compact Bulb uses the standard E27 screw thread lamp holder, is versatile and easy to use.The D3 Compact Bulbs can be used easily over smaller vivaria for small and hatchling animals.
The Arcadia Reptile ProT5 UV-B Kit arrives complete with high quality electronics, a highly effective but removable reflector and a choice of High Output T5 UVB lamp. This easy to use Kit can be fixed easily inside a vivarium, rested upon a wire meshed glassed terrarium or even hung within an enclosure (where safe to do so).Its sleek design and specially curved reflector will ensure that you use less space but project as much light forward as possible. The Kit also arrives with a free link cable which allows multiple units to be powered from a suitable single power source. The ProT5Kit reflector has 2 angles of reflection from the side of each curve. This means that ProT5 projects high levels of UV rich light directly beneath the unit at around 12"/30cm to create a basking zone but then also provides a wide flood as light spreads out over distance. This will allow you to create a suitable UV-B provision for any species and over a suitably wide area. The reflector is also easy to remove and clean. The Arcadia Reptile ProT5Kit is available all three standard HO-T5 wattages (24, 39, 54 Watts) and includes our high quality, German made UV-B lamps: - 2.4% Full-Spectrum+ UV-B - 6% UV-B D3- 12% UV-B D3+- 14% UV-B DragonLamp. There is also an 8w Standard Output T5 version of ProT5 for our all-new ShadeDweller lamp, designed specifically for use with Shade Dwelling species such as the Leopard Gecko, Crested Gecko, Hatchling Snakes, Amphibians and Inverts. Care should be taken in very wet environments. The Arcadia Reptile Slimline luminaire, UVFLOOD range and Ultraseal electronic controllers all offer IP65-67 protection

Exo Terra®’s exceptional T5 lamps are crafted in Germany to the highest quality standard, ensuring a prolonged UV output of 12+ months for lasting performance. With its intense output of UVA and UVB rays – combined with a well-balanced visible light spectrum – the Exo Terra® Reptile UVB300 T5 Very High Output Bulb is specifically designed to meet the needs of reptiles basking in open or midday sun in the Euphotic or Heliophotic Zones. The intensity of the emissions varies depending on the distance from the basking area.
Higher levels of UV are vital for the physiological wellbeing of these animals, which thrive under intense sunlight. They actively interact with their environment when the sun is high or even at its peak – showcasing an exemplary adaptation to solar intensity by optimising body temperature and UVB intake during basking behaviour.
The Exo Terra® Reptile UVB300 VHO T5 Bulb helps promote healthy Vitamin D3 synthesis, which in turn facilitates improved calcium absorption – safeguarding against Metabolic Bone Disease. Its UVA and UVB emissions surpass those of traditional T8 bulbs and energy-efficient alternatives, while enhanced UVB penetration extends its suitability for use in taller terrariums or those equipped with denser screens.
For optimal results and prolonged lifespan of the bulb, we recommend using it in conjunction with the Exo Terra® T5 Terrarium Top High-Performance Reptile UVB Fixture.
Long-lasting UVB output (12+ months).
The longer sizes can be placed across multiple terrariums.
Keepers can use the UV Index reference values to ensure that animals are exposed to an appropriate level of UV when basking. Creating a gradient – from highest safe UV index at the basking area to lowest UV index in cooler areas – means they can completely self-regulate alongside their thermoregulatory behaviours. They should not be allowed to expose themselves to more than a safe maximum and should have the freedom to escape all light completely with areas of zero UV and Infrared. This can be achieved by strategically adding plants, hides, and decorative items to create shaded zones.
To support the efficient conversion of vitamin D3 and enhance various metabolic and hormonal processes, it is beneficial to ensure that UV light exposure is complemented by an ample supply of infrared-A (NIR) radiation. The most effective sources can be found in Tungsten Halogen or standard Incandescent spot bulbs, such as the Exo Terra Intense Basking Spot or Halogen Basking Spot. This combination promotes optimal body temperature regulation and overall well-being.
