ProRep Flood Lamps have been developed specifically for use with reptiles. They emit visible light, UVA, and heat in the form of short-wave infrared to light and heat reptile enclosures.
Because the lamps have been developed with a special diffused coating on the inside of the glass the light is scattered to create an even distribution of light and heat instead of it being focused into one area. This is often encountered in nature when light is scattered through cloud formation and would be ideal for tropical diurnal species that do not require a specific basking area.
Select the appropriate lamp for the set up you are trying to create and ensure the wattage is correct for the animal, enclosure size and construction. Use in the approved fitting of the correct type.
Mount the lamp directly above the basking site approximately one third from the end of the tank to create a temperature gradient allowing natural thermo-regulatory behaviour. The use of a dimming thermostat is highly recommended to prevent overheating. This product must be used with an appropriate lamp guard to ensure the animal does not come into contact with the lamp which will result in the animal getting burnt. Always use with a heater guard. Ensure the electricity supply is switched off. Check that the lamp type and wattage is compatible with the fitting. Allow the lamp to cool down before handling.
If in any doubt about the product, please contact ProRep customer services for further advice or consult a qualified electrician. Please dispose of lamps and packaging in a responsible manner. Does not emit UVB

ProRep Snake Life is part of the “Life” series of substrates designed for use for specific animal species or types.
Manufactured under the brand name Lignocel specifically to meet the needs of snakes. Snake Life is produced from wood sourced from sustainable forests and has a low dust and resinous oils content. Dried at a high temperature, it is safe for use for many species of snake that do not need high humidity environments. It is highly absorbent and will quickly absorb water spillages or animal waste helping to trap any unwanted odours and making spot cleaning quick and easy.
Available in 10L and 25L retail packs with carry-home handles and also in bulk 12.5Kg sacks under the Lignocel brand.
10 Litre ProRep Tortoise Life is part of the species-specific life series of substrates and has been created to meet the needs of tortoises originating from arid habitats, particularly Mediterranean and Russian tortoises.
It is a blend of ingredients that provides the ideal mix of texture and moisture retention to simulate the soils found in their natural habitats. The addition of pure limestone to the mix provides additional calcium if the substrate is eaten.
It is also suitable for many species of lizards that originate from arid habitats.
Directions: Spread the substrate evenly over the bottom of the enclosure to a depth of at least 2” (5cm) for young animals and up to 6” (15cm) or more for mature animals. Russian tortoises particularly may need a deeper substrate as they burrow extensively. Spot-clean daily to remove soiled substrate and replace completely every 2 or 3 weeks.
Areas of the substrate can be sprayed to provide local humidity but avoid making the substrate too wet.
